Ownership: 100% South African. BizMagic serves owner-managed businesses, not corporates or franchises. The average client is small, local and runs everything from their phone during load-shedding. Pricing starts from R495 once-off for a single starter kit to R2 250 for a full monthly Ritual Pack.

Story angles and data from the field

BizMagic’s founder and team can speak about practical hurdles and successes experienced by small South African businesses, especially those outside big metros. Data and direct stories available from clients like Boikanyo Panelbeaters (Tzaneen), who faced VAT201 fatigue, or Flatbush Fruit (Bethlehem), shipping litchis through Beitbridge and dealing with SADC forms. SME owners tell us load-shedding shuffles the real work to early mornings, and that courier cut-offs around the 25th payday are more of a planning headache than payday itself.

BizMagic tracks the most requested supplier types (for example, glass suppliers in Limpopo, label printers in Free State), the busiest cash flow months (March for VAT, November for stock builds), and the most common setup mistakes (missing trading permits, or not banking monthly to avoid FICA re-checks). Local street-level details, contractor rates, and headaches with EMP201s can be provided, within privacy limits. More on this can be found at our starter kits and weekly Supplier Notes.

Requesting interviews and materials

To request a comment, interview or data pack, please email magic@bizmagic.co.za. We know print and production deadlines in South Africa can come up quick, so say if you need a fast turnaround. Interviews are available with BizMagic’s founder, operations lead, or on request, a featured client such as a Bethlehem plumber or a Tzaneen events hire operator. Image requests (logos, brand shots, supplier hub locations) must also go by email, just say what you need and the intended use. There’s no web form; email first, and WhatsApp Sales is available on the site for quick questions.

For brand guidelines, colour references, and formal usage permission, email your publication name and deadline. Approval is required for any commercial or promotional use. Editorial use (print, web, broadcast) is permitted as long as assets are not altered, apart from resizing or cropping to fit layout. Please do double-check the spelling: it’s BizMagic Ops, one word, capital M and O.

Brand assets and usage rules

BizMagic logos and colour palette may be used by media outlets, but only in their original form and only in editorial content, not for advertising or third-party endorsements. Please don’t change the colours, proportions, or layer your publication’s branding over our logo. Downloads for print (CMYK) and web (RGB) are available by request only. Any old assets dated before 2021 shouldn’t be used, email for the latest set. See our support page for direct asset enquiries. For supplier images from hubs in Sandton or Woodstock, image requests are handled within three working days.
