Stellenbosch Technopark supplier hub with Winelands vineyard and mountain view

Why Stellenbosch is perfect for this

Stellenbosch isn’t just about oaks and wine, it’s packed with producers, food packers, craft brewers, and agri-techs, from Devon Valley to Cloetesville. The mix of old family co-ops and new SaaS upstarts means cashflow is always tight at month-end. Here at Technopark Studio, Office 1A, the Cash Spell session digs into practical moves for short cycles, while Board Charm keeps your steering group or directors on the same page when everybody’s halfway to Franschhoek. It’s appointment-only because Winelands schedules are unpredictable, especially during the March grape rush or winter’s moody storms. You book, you get a slot, no queue, no waiting.

Getting to Technopark Studio

Technopark’s right off the R44, just above the brewery on Techno Ave. Parking is plentiful and free on weekdays, though it can fill up quick when the varsity crowds spill over from Dorp Street. Grab a taxi from Kayamandi or a family kombi from Idas Valley, MyCiTi doesn’t reach out this far yet, and the nearest Gautrain is still in Cape Town. Most founders come by car, swinging by Checkers Eikestad for a quick coffee first. If you’re heading from Somerset West or Paarl, plan around the R44 traffic after 3pm. The wind can howl over the dam, so pack an umbrella in winter.

What sessions run here

Two sessions happen here, always by appointment: Cash Spell, where we tackle real cash calendars for Stellenbosch’s odd payment rhythms (like waiting for that big Woolies contract to clear), and Board Charm, which helps you set practical rules for your small board or advisory group if meetings keep drifting or notes get lost. Both work best when you’ve got last month’s bank statements, a printed invoice list, and your SARS eFiling login handy. Winelands founders tell us the practical advice here gets them quicker from idea to rand received than any generic template ever could.

How to prepare for your session

It works best if you arrive ready. Power is stable most days, but with load-shedding you’ll want your phone and laptop charged just in case, a couple times a week Eskom still catches everyone off guard. Bring a notepad, your most recent VAT201 or EMP201 filings, a list of regular suppliers (even just a printout from Sage or Xero), and a quick note of your board or decision group members if you’re coming for Board Charm. Ja, sometimes someone forgets their bank FICA pack or a key document, don’t stress, we’ll work with what you have and get your next steps sorted.

  • Last month’s bank statements
  • Invoice or payments list
  • Printed VAT201 or EMP201 (if relevant)
  • Names and emails for board members (if Board Charm)
  • Charged phone and laptop
  • Any recent supplier or creditor notes

Timing and local notes

Sessions usually run Tuesdays and Thursdays, before the 25th payday rush. Week-before month-end is busiest, with agri clients from Lynedoch and small shops from Jamestown popping in before the next delivery cycle. Sessions last 80 to 90 minutes. We keep the window open for the Cape breeze, but a thunderstorm will mean you’ll hear the ducks more than us. Payments are settled by EFT or SnapScan and receipts go out same day. Need a session closer to Woodstock or Sandton? Our full list of supplier hubs is always open for bookings. For extra prep, check out our Counter Hour Charm kit or the Counter Hour Brief before your session.
