Day-one setup
Launch Deck pack
Get your new business out the blocks with every must-do from Gqeberha to Gauteng in one place, no guesswork, no panic.
What's inside the Launch Deck pack
Every Launch Deck comes as a bright printed folder and matching digital files, built for South African details from CIPC to SARS. No rabbit holes, no hunting in WhatsApp groups for old, sketchy templates. You get what you actually need for your first fortnight: real checklists, no fluff. Example: In Gqeberha, the team at Bay Tile Fitters used their folder to keep track of their CIPC confirmation, FICA slips, and first VAT201 reminder (and didn’t lose a single page at home).
- Printed Launch Deck folder (A4, full-colour, local lingo)
- Digital pack (PDF/Word) sent after payment
- CIPC name reservation cue sheet
- Bank-ready document checklist (FICA, proof of address, B-BBEE affidavit prompt)
- First invoice cue card (including VAT/no VAT options)
- Same-week run sheet (day-by-day from registration to first invoice sent)
- Trading permit cue (municipal and special licence triggers)
- SARS starter pack prompts (eFiling login tips, VAT and EMP201 reminders)
- Supplier handoff brief (for your accountant or attorney, if you need sign-off)
Who Launch Deck fits (and who it doesn't)
Launch Deck is for founders just putting their business on the map, managing everything themselves or with a tiny team. It suits a Paarl jam maker getting her CIPC certificate done, or a Joburg tiler opening their first bank account at Standard or Capitec. It does NOT suit large firms, anyone with an in-house compliance officer, or a founder planning to trade cross-border with big SADC paperwork this month (rather try Export Spark for that). If you need tailored legal or tax advice, make sure your accountant or registered tax practitioner signs off before trading.
How ordering and collection works
Just email magic@bizmagic.co.za with your trading name, where your business is based, and if you want courier, post, or collection. We’ll reply with a pro forma invoice (no web forms, just people). EFT payment only, no cards, SnapScan, or cash. After proof hits our inbox, your pack is prepped at Observatory HQ in Cape Town, then dispatched (or ready for you at the supplier hub you choose: Sandton, Midrand, Rosebank, Stellenbosch, Durban, Pretoria, Woodstock). For all the fine print, see how we ship and our terms.
Your first two weeks with Launch Deck
Open your Launch Deck and you’re looking at real first steps: reserve your name on CIPC, grab every doc your bank officer will ask (FICA, lease, proof), line up your first invoice in ZAR and get ready for that week-one supplier meeting. If you’re unsure, our run sheet marks what’s urgent in red (like EMP201 registration if you’re hiring already). Each checklist fits real SA processes, no American IRS forms or Europe-only tips. Most teams send their accountant the digital handoff for a quick scan. If you’re stuck, email us before you pull your hair out. It’s all about getting your business trading, not collecting admin paper. If you need a longer launch plan or monthly routines, check cadence planning or same-week checklist. I made a small slip before with its instead of it’s, so apologies.
Founders say it straight
"I’d downloaded free templates for months, the Launch Deck was the only thing that got my new salon in Tembisa from ‘should I?’ to open doors. The CIPC checklist alone saved me from two queues (and a headache at Nedbank).", Ayanda, hair salon owner, Tembisa.
"Tried doing my first invoice with a template off Google and nearly sent my Gqeberha client the wrong bank details. This folder made those first days practical, not scary. I even found a supplier shortlist in the back.", Sipho, electrical contractor, Gqeberha.
